Frequently Asked Questions

And our answers

I have been suffering for so many years – is it really possible to get rid of it at once? And how can you do it?

Being so effective, why this method is not practiced in official medicine?

How efficient is this method?

How to make an appointment? Where do you receive patients?

Are there any contraindications?

For which age is the procedure indicated?

I have read (I have heard) that the procedure is very painful?
Is it true?

How soon will the procedure results appear?

What is the target of action during the procedure?

Are the procedures included in atlas rehabilitation
programme safe?

It should be realized that the associated complications (pain, spinal curvature, vascular and nervous disorders, etc.) will resolve gradually. And the cause of such complications, i.e. subluxation of the first cervical vertebra atlas, is actually in most cases corrected in one procedure, as well as any other luxation or subluxation. The only difference is treatment procedure: while ordinary luxation is corrected by acting on the bone, to correct the first cervical vertebra atlas position, an atlas specialist acts with a special instrument on short muscles holding the atlas.

One of the first questions asked by almost everyone who has learnt something of atlas therapy: why this practice is still not in common use in Russian outpatient and inpatient clinics? To solve any problem, we first of all need to formulate it.

Our problem would be formulated as follows: how to get rid of the consequences of birth injury or a part thereof, i.e. dislocation of the first cervical vertebra atlas? And here we come to the greatest problem: how often may babies sustain such injury?

As you may guess, the statistics of birth injuries is almost ultra-secret information. How many obstetricians and healthcare professionals would assume responsibility and inform parents that their child got a birth injury and that they should undergo examination and try to correct the situation if the diagnosis is confirmed?
The answer is: almost no one.

And it means that most people will not even know of their injury. If there is no problem, then there is nothing to solve. It will take much time for official medicine to raise the issue and begin addressing it, and even more time will be required for sufficiently wide implementation of such practice.

The method is efficient, and the result will depend on how strictly you follow the recommendations and also on your health resources. As the first cervical vertebra dislocation has systemic effect on the whole body, restoration of the atlas natural position or reduction in the displacement will create conditions for correct functioning of the locomotor system, central nervous system, and, as a consequence, vegetative nervous system. With your help, as you will follow simple recommendations after the procedure, your body will recover. The recovery rate will depend on injury severity and on the development stage of medical conditions concerned.

Question: What should I do if my city (town) is not included in the schedule?

Answer: Call us +7 (800) 700-80-36, and we will help you to find the nearest city where a doctor can receive you.

Yes, there are some contraindications, their list is provided below:

When indicated, the procedure may be conducted from 2–4 months of age to extremely old age.

Yes, it is true. The procedure is sensitive, i.e. you will feel pressure and vibration but this will not be too painful.

Everybody has different pain thresholds. However, the procedure is safe, since the doctor acts on muscles.

The quickness of effect depends on severity of the dislocation and on the patient’s condition as at the time of procedure. Most people feel different as early as within first hours after the procedure, and if the patient fulfills the recommendations, the changes increase rapidly.

However, it will take more time for the changes to follow in case of serious diseases

or conditions – from three months to a couple of years. The reason is difference in the rate of tissue and body function recovery.

While blood flow may be normalized within several hours or days, to restore the discs, to correct scoliosis, excessive or wrong kyphosis or lordosis (natural inward and outward spinal curvature), more time and effort will be required. However, the simple truth is that only correct functioning of the joint skull-atlas-axis may provide the conditions for recovery and preservation of the body correct functioning.

The procedure is absolutely safe. The procedure was developed taking account of the hazards of acting on the area concerned.

The doctor will not act on bones. The action target is muscles holding the atlas in the incorrect position. It is these muscles that are used to bring the atlas into its natural position (to eliminate or partially reduce the dislocation).
